OZONE
Lighting
History
Specialized in lighting design, Ozone responds to a range of commissions from architects, designers and private clients, working with pieces from their collection, developing custom installations and offering light-consultant services.
First and foremost, Ozone is the story of a friendship. Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke were just 25 when they first met, sitting at adjacent desks in an office where they both worked as industrial engineers. Six years later, something clicked. They abandoned mapped-out careers to instead give free rein to their creativity. This decision led to the creation of Ozone in 2000.
The collection has risen from the collaboration with large luxury brands and sought-after architects. It allies lightings designed by Etienne and Eric with models signed by Michel Boyer, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Joseph Dirand, Pierre Paulin and Régis Botta. The two founders created also one-of-a-kind pieces for Elie Saab, Ritz Carlton or Mauboussin, as well as the precious Quartz collection for Saint-Louis. The Ozone collection is now distributed in Europe, USA and Asia.
Savoir-Faire
Specialized in lighting design, Ozone proposes collection pieces and custom installations for architects, decorators and corporations. For each application, the luminaires are designed around the light, focusing on the expected lighting result. The inspiration is the sun and the sky with their thousand shades, from cold light to warm light, from clean shadows to a soft diffusion, from the uniformity of color to the subtlest gradations.
Manufactured in Paris, Ozone light fixtures are assembled in the workshop of rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth in the Marais. They combine the Parisian tradition of craftsmanship with the latest LED light technologies. Their clean lines compose a timeless geometry that is sometimes classic, modernist or minimal. The assembly details, metal finishes and lighting performance of Ozone luminaires are deemed to be of the highest level.
